Equine Assisted Learning – SEND

Equine Assisted Learning sessions at Mud & Magic offer a calm and supportive environment where young people can build confidence, emotional awareness and connection through gentle interaction with our ponies.

 

These sessions are designed for children and young people who may benefit from a quieter, more supportive experience.

 

During the session they may take part in activities such as:

• Grooming the ponies
• Leading exercises
• Learning about pony body language
• Confidence building activities
• Gentle nature based tasks

 

Sessions are ground-based only and take place in a supported environment to ensure every young person feels safe and calm.

 

These sessions may be particularly beneficial for young people who experience:

• Autism
• ADHD
• Anxiety
• Emotional regulation challenges
• Low confidence

 

Before attending, parents or carers will be asked to complete a short information form so we can ensure the session is suitable and supportive for the young person.

 

Session length: 60 minutes
